Iran's new "Super Weapons?"

Read once about Iran's high-speed anti-ship missiles.  This system is designed to add considerably to that capability.  IT IS DESIGNED TO CHECK THE U.S. CARRIER FORCE IN THE PERSIAN GULF.  This is the reason for the continued building/operation of the "superbases" in Iraq.  Within a year Iran could have the ability to make the PG off limits to our "greatest military asset" during a crises.

I believe the chances that we will be involved in Iran by the end of the year are now considerable.

OCTOBER SURPRISE... Maybe.

Politically, it may not help the repulicans any to talk of it or even try it this year.

The Iranians might be able to utilize assests in Iraq/Afganistan to check our army anyway.  Forcing our forces to "roll-up" and stay within those bases until major air assests can be brought in to begin/attempt a breakout.

Forcing our forces into this highly defensive position they will "defeat" 43 polically in Iraq by-default.  They might??? be able to win the polical "long game" in the region as well.

...TET anyone...

The Iraqi superbases will be kept forever, remembered as W's "lagacy bases."  He and his followers will dare any president to remove them, if they do, blaming them for any problems that might incur in the middle/near east.  Blaming those who dare with the failures of W himself.  This is the political gamesmanship that Rove is going to play.

I am sure the White House new of these systems.  Iran's WMD is only part of the WH reason for attacking Iran.  Control of the Persian Gulf is the main reason.

Things are getting more interesting everyday.  HUH...
